Backup & Sync
Your business data is precious. BiziNus backs it up automatically when you're signed in — and gives you manual options too.
Cloud backup (automatic)
When you sign in, BiziNus stores your ledger in Firebase Cloud Firestore and keeps it in sync across every device you use. This backup is compulsory and automatic — you don't need to do anything.
- Sync Now — push your latest changes to the cloud immediately.
- Restore — pull your data back from the cloud onto a device (e.g. a new phone).
- Works in the background so the app, web and tablet always match.
Dropbox (Pro)
BiziNus Pro users can also link Dropbox for an extra, independent backup destination.
In Backup My Data (or Settings), tap Link Dropbox.
Sign in to Dropbox and approve the connection.
Use Sync Now / Restore with Dropbox, just like Firestore.
You can unlink Dropbox any time from the same screen.
Export JSON / CSV
Prefer a local copy? Export your data any time from Backup My Data → Export Data:
- Backup JSON (Full) — a complete copy of your data you can re-import later.
- Purchases CSV — spreadsheet of everything you bought.
- Sales CSV — spreadsheet of everything you sold.
Exported files are shared via your device's share sheet — save them to Drive, email them to yourself, or keep them on the device.
Import data
Moving from another system, or restoring from a file? Use Backup My Data → Import Data:
- Load JSON File — restore a full backup.
- Load Buy CSV / Load Sell CSV — bring in purchase or sales rows.
- Paste Text Backup — paste raw JSON/CSV text directly.
Backup reminder
If it's been 7 days or more since your last backup, BiziNus shows a gentle reminder on the dashboard. Tap it to open Backup My Data and sync. (When you're signed in, daily cloud sync makes this a formality.)
